The most useful enquiries we get are not the polished ones.

A description of what is slow, expensive or breaking tells us far more than a feature list does, because a feature list is already an answer and we would rather see the problem. If you are not sure whether it is a software problem at all, that is a perfectly good place to start — working that out is part of the job, and the answer is sometimes no.
