Privacy policy
This policy explains what Purpose Soft does with personal information collected through this website. It is short because the site does very little.
Who we are
This website is operated by Purpose One Pty Ltd, trading as Purpose Soft, ABN 57 657 911 209, based in Perth, WA. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number, a description of what you need help with, an indicative budget and a timeline.
We do not ask for and do not want financial details, identity documents, or any sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act. Please do not include them in an enquiry.
Why we collect it
To read your enquiry and reply to it, and to have the conversation that follows. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
How it reaches us
The enquiry form posts to a script on our own web hosting, which emails the contents to us. The site is hosted by Hostinger and our email is hosted by Microsoft, so both providers handle the message in the course of delivering it. The form is not stored in a database and there is no third-party form service involved.
The form includes a hidden anti-spam field that a person never sees and never fills in. It collects nothing from a human visitor. Your IP address and the time of submission are included in the email we receive, so we can identify abuse.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party trackers. There is no advertising pixel and no chat widget. Nothing about your visit is recorded beyond the ordinary server logs our host keeps to operate the service.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as there is a live conversation or an ongoing working relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Who else sees it
Hostinger, who host this website, and Microsoft, who host our email — both as a necessary part of delivering those services. Nobody else, unless we are required to disclose something by law.
Microsoft may process and store email outside Australia. If that matters to you, please tell us and we will arrange another way to take your information.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will action reasonable requests promptly and at no cost.
